Old Dominion Performance Arts Studio (ODPAS) - was Waynesboro Virginia's original performance arts training studio for 21 years before making some decisions in 2021 about downsizing and developing a more highly tuned focus for the direction of our future as our society is still learning to adapt and live with Covid-19 and the changes it has brought to the arts and personal lifestyles. With our Roots Programming, we have returned to the foundations of our original foundations for visions, instructional philosophies and approaches - the focus on the whole person, as an individual, while developing strength in character and empowering a strong platform of training technique, body awareness, artistry and knowledge for future goals and endeavors. 

ODPAS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers exceptional quality training at reasonable rates. Instruction is done in an environment that is positive and nurturing with small group and individualized approaches aiming at developing the full person into a knowledgeable athlete, artist and leader with strong character who takes initiative and ownership in their progress and accepts responsibility for the path of their accomplishments. 

Students are accepted into our select Roots program based upon availability and if the student, family and staff believe it is a good match for reaching the goals of the student and family.

ODPAS has a long history of accomplishments for which we are very proud.  We have an extensive list of students who have taken their foundations to become professional instructors (locally and across the country), professional performers, as well as using their training experience to grow into other professional fields including, lawyers, doctors, teachers, veterinarians, nurses and other important and contributing fields as part our society and world.

Our teaching staff also continue their training and personal learning in their areas of instructional focus.  We are proud to have a history of instructors that have been able to utilize their time at ODPAS, to further develop their artistry, artistic opportunities, and pursue fields in higher education, medical fields, and more.
